BIO

My name is Kate.  I am 41 years old and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis on my 27 birthday.  My mother also has multiple sclerosis, diagnosed when I was 12. family

I live in Boston with my husband, daughter and dog, all of whom arrived post-diagnosis, despite my initial skeptism that anything good would ever happen again.

I work in gifts and grants administration at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI) because of the importance of the field to medicine in general, to MS, and to innumerable other chronic illnesses.  And also because the science is, as we say in Boston, wicked cool!

I love to write and to laugh at my own predicaments, so if you love to read and laugh, enjoy!
